Rip off alert
The following story is true. While many of the details have been left out, the basic underlying facts are correct.
Time: Approximately 7:00 pm September 2nd
Location: Haight Street, San Francisco
A man walks into a bar. He orders a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. The bartender pulls him the draft. The man pays. The man takes a sip. It’s flat. The man tells the bartender “This beer is flat.” The bartender says “The beer is probably warm.” The man says “No the beer is plenty cold.” The bartender says “Would you like another beer?” The man points at a different tap and says “Yes, I’ll have that one.” The bartender says “That will be three fifty.” The man says “But you just served me a flat beer.” The bartender says “We don’t exchange drinks.” The man says “It’s not an exchange, you sold me a bad beer.” The bartender says “No one else has complained” and walks away. Man leaves the bar and posts snarky complaint on his blog.
Moral of the story, don’t go to Murio’s Trophy Room on Haight Street because you may be knowingly served a flat beer and then have to pay if you want it replaced.
